2007
I was runner-up to the Hawkman (Kyle Hinton) in 2007. I changed teams after the first race (I walked out), borrowed a friends bike for Mallory and Assen, before getting on a bike supplied by Paul Gilpin and Louigi Moto. We played catch up all season but had some good races nonetheless. Got awarded 'Man of the meeting' at Snetterton after starting 39th on the grid and finishing 2nd.

2006
My championship winning season. Highlight of the year was winning at Assen in Holland - Pole position, race win and lap record. 8 wins from 14 races - awesome!

2005
My first season in the Ducati Sporting Club's DesmoDue series. It was a trauma! I broke my arm at the first round, missed warm up laps, got excluded, crashed my sponsors van and got demoralised. Still, 2006 soon cancelled all that bad stuff out.

2001
I did 3 race meetings on a GSXR1000 in 2001 after the Manx Grand Prix was cancelled - I was entered on a GSXR600. Thanks to Frasers of Gloucester.

1999
I won my first British championship race in 1999 at Thruxton. Dennis Hobbs and Richard Cooper (both top BSB riders now) shared the podium with me. Happy days!

1998
In 1998 my main championship was the Honda CB500 Cup. I also got to race a Honda Fireblade, Honda Hornet and a Yamaha FZR400.

1997
I rode a Kawasaki KR1s 250 two-stroke, mostly against the late Paul Gladwin. We became good friends and 12 years on I'm good friends with his cousin Tom Luton, who I've also raced with.
